LOLER for arborists logo

I'm an experienced arborist and LOLER examiner with 30 years working at height. These days most of my work is carrying out LOLER Thorough Examinations and over the last 10 years I've examined close to 2500 kits. If you are looking to have your kit inspected then I  can provide LOLER Thorough Examinations for arborists and ecologists as required by the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998.

I'm based in Lewes near Brighton but regularly travel to London, Kent, Surrey and the home counties. For local companies I try and work Monday to Friday (days and evenings) and for companies with multiple kits I have weekends available but they're generally booked up a few weeks ahead, that said, I'm pretty flexible.

On the day of the inspection I'll bag and tag any items that have failed, I'll provide you with the inspection paperwork which will show all the items examined and an invoice.

There are many reasons why you should have your equipment examined by somebody independent at regular intervals. Primarily it’s a legal obligation (for the employed and the self-employed) but also it just makes good sense to have somebody independent examine your kit to make sure that its still OK to use. People can get very attached to equipment (no pun intended) especially when it's expensive. Its easy to overlook a bit of damage or the fact that its a few years old.

Do you employ people and supply them with their Category 3 PPE?

Have you have been asked to show LOLER compliance to win a contract?

Does your insurance company or the Arboricultural Association require you to prove LOLER?

Are you are self-employed sub-contractor who needs to show LOLER records to a new employer?
